1948. Haus shovels 4” snow. Sunny P.M. I went to Mrs. Fred Wirth’s funeral. Called on Mrs. du Frenne, up after pneumonia. Haus insulated & floored attic over east end of house.

1949. Frank & I walked to church & back. 75 or more took part in communion service. I dismantled Christmas tree in P.M. I drove to Muscola 4-6 on icy roads. John Schafer pushed us to start. Oven spring broken bridge once more. Haus better.

1950. Sleet & snow & A.M. I washed, K & I took down Christmas tree (balsam, very satisfactory). Walked to club. 20 there. Mr.s Turner talked informally. Myley nearly O.L. Where hives were.

-2º 1952. Took out Christmas tree, ironed, mended. Walked downtown in PM, called on Mary Sholts. Publicized Homemakers’ Center mtg. We alll went to [Kronmeyo?] in eve. Edith & I to Davis, whether comm. postponed turkey dinner.
