1948. I nailed lath on outside of attic stairs, Hans helping a bit; baked raisin bread, washed my hair, drying it by Round Oak stove. Sent for seed catalogs-several of them. 50° 1949. Washed + hung most of it outside in sunshine. Cleaned up house, ironed, even mended. Hans not home till 7 PM. Frank working at Dipper. This year's seed catalogs arriving! 41° 1950. We drove Frank's car to church. RH + [Lorvia?] Roberts called in PM. -8° 1951. First time for several months that I did not have Frank's laundry in with ours. Began on long-delayed sorting of box of papers packed away in '44. Finished "Out in the Midday Sun" [(Judie)?] 1952. Washed, hung in basement; To Woman's Club at 2. [Pauel?] on Far East Read. Worked on needlepoint in eve.
