January 13

1948. Colder. Ironed 2 hours while Frank after breakfast here, slept till he went to work at Dipper at 11. Walked to P.O., mended, got acquainted with Dr. Theilke, when I went there to phone.

1949. First hr. class with Sophs. gave them + Jr-Srs. exams in P.M. Mild day, more ice disappeared. Corrected Jr-Sr papers in eve. [bout?] of 19 from 90 to 97, ave 89 2/9 End of my 1st semester.

41° 1949 Friday the 13th. Rained most of day. Baked wh. wheat raisin bread, did needlepoint. walked to P.O. Dark day. Wind in eve cleared most water off of roads-so little ice! 3

1951. Tired. Walked to bank while Hans + K to [Madison?]. Icy, cloudy, raw. Supper for Sig, [Darlene?] Buck, Owen, [Kae?], Bobby + Kae's mother. Chicken, our frozen peas, strawberry shortcake; pickles, beans, etc from last eve! As Owen's move Monday, they left early.

1952. Icy + trees covered with [hoar?] frost. I drove to church. Guild Exec. Comm. mtg. in lobby till 11. Sig here 9:30-2, also [Hank?] + Dale Kelley for dinner. Bob, Coralee + young Bob Henry L. here in P.M. [Hofstad's?] in eve. Girls took down our Christmas cards.
