JANUARY 18 1948. Model A wouldn't start so we walked to church. Read in "The God from the West" which Mrs. Johnston lent me Signe here in even, also Frank. Had earache Snow - 4" 1949. Slept most of time till nearly 8. School at 9. Movie "Scrub Game" for Fr. who are beginning unit on good grooming. Also to Jr. Sr. class, now numbering 20. Took tickets at door for Bloomington basketball game. 71-43 0 degrees 1950. Didn't sleep till after 1, less than 4 hrs in all - and only at 4 bites cake at church - nap in AM + PM. Did inch or so needlepoint. Hans to Dr. O. for penicillin after 2 days bleeding at nose. High blood pressure. Frank quits his vocational school - "Nuts to it." 1951. Hans home all day. He + Kathryn worked on her darkroom. I baked cake, wrote German letter to Agnes Kniep - a major job! In A.M. to confer with Mrs. Hofstad + in P.M. to Pearl Foss', about banquet programs. K + I cleaned ice from Bristol sidewalk. 1952. Cleaned. In PM drove to Ann Meyer's for saltless butter + buttermilk, got order, took (Frau?) basket to Pierstoff's. My B.H. + G. sub. to Cornwell's. Lee + Eva Lange here in eve 8-10.
