1948 Snowed all night. got order for seeds off to Marie Radtke, 15 cards for Sunday eve discussion mtg., my librarian's corner ; Frank + I got eggs at Williby's. 41 books, library. Mrs. Esser said she would rent apt. 1949 Slept 8 1/2 hrs. Joyce made buttonholes with machine attachment. Some girls putting in extra time. I did, too - on lunch report + ordering food for it. SUNNY 1950 We cleaned up apt. I wrote K - then got hers in PM. saying she is back to 126 lb. Went to Madison with Uold's. He went to Moline for a while. Anna May + I shopped at Piggly-Wiggly. Nap in P.M. 11º 1951 Took my 2 green ivies to church; flanking a red coleus of Deone Rabe's, they looked nice. 109 at S.S. Had Anna May, just back from hospital, + her father in for dinner. K to ice carnival. We read. Siam book. 1952 Glands still not well. Very quiet day, cooked chicken, did needlepoint, worked out '52 budget. Forgot all about Comm Council election! Later - they didn't have it.
