1948 Suddenly spring came, water running + most of ice thawed from streets. Baked bread, mended. Mrs. V. J. Schwenn at library, helped me get through file of readers to cull out "dead" names. Visited Sig. Hans + I to Madison at 8, bot garden seeds for Darmak; at 415 park 1949. Showed 2 movies again. Shrank my 2 yd roll of clue wool (2yd wide) also cut skirt of gray chambray dress. Mrs. Scott + I sent gift of bed jacket + . . . to H. Scigden's mother in Miller Hasp. 1950. Completed pair of thumbless mittens for Dale Weidemann, and took them in PM to him at Wis. gen. Hasp. Doris ready to go home at 8 days! Looked around in Rectory Gift Shop with Mrs. Nissen - Missed 4:10 bus. Sig not in office. Frank came back - broke - from cranberry country, in eve. 1951 Sewed on dress in P.M. 1952. Slept till 7:30. Hans finally better after his 2 weeks rest in bed. We got out circulars + made out pay checks. Signe here all P.M. We went to La Rock's, saw workmen finish new doors in Univ. Ave. garage. Baked white good bread. Sig brought a rosebud for a Valentine. Read in eve.
