1948 Baked date-pecan cake. Buffet + other shelves + drawers nearly done. Busy at library - took my new file + 2 big boxes new books. 144 books out this week. 1949. An inch of snow fell in night. Several freshmen hemming dresses. After school I ordered supplies for Veterans' dinner Wed. 1950. Ironed. Snowed most of day. Made K's green cushion. Slept 2 hrs. in P.M.! In eve went with Edith Kromrey to Guild. Mrs. Salchenberger showed Kodachromes, flower etc. Voted $500 to church. 1951 Writing phoning - + sleeping till 9 after Hans to work, then went [c] Mmrs. Blaschke, Bauman + Krusets legislative hearing in Capitol. Youth had lenten services in eve. movie "Blind Beggar of Jerusalem." 1952. Hans up for breakfast - 1st in 3 weeks. He made me water softener directions. I washed, hanging all inside. Nap after lunch. Got my roaster and turkey from M. Phelps, sold maternity dress to Jane Foster. Geo. Hafstad called. John Salchenberger died from auto accident.
