1948. It rained! Plasterers back for final cost on stairway. Painters back on job. Larry Dom making my desk in sewing room. I ordered plastic top for it at Decor. Frank over in eve. Ordered "Sunshine" cards. 1949 AM given up for final touches on style show + program. Women's Institute program in Home Ec room in PM. Miss Kintzler in charge. I had [illegible] given "basic?" K. Bohr diet for pregnant women. 13 freshmen had Style show cotton dresses, Marie and Eva Rayon, Virgina "Modern" 1950 Put hem in paisley dress--look like ready made--method learned from Mrs. Myer of Newcomers' Sewing Club. Packed and sewd Kathryn's box--pr nylon sox grandma [illegible], green cushion, my brown hat, 2 scarfs, box junket tablets, quilted bed jacket. John and Lois Shafer here in eve. 1951. Baked bread To Lang's in eve. "Aunt Minnie" Joel home from hospital, in ambulance 1952 Felt fine. To SS + church. Frank and Dale K here for dinner. Sig here in PM and for supper--turkey gizzards! I read in "I Can't Rest From Travel." by Willard Price. Hans feels better.
