FEBRUARY 26 1948 Drove to Decor twice to order new table. Larry Dom hung my blue plastic table in kitchen. D cleaned out my steel K. sink and it was moved to its place so that Bonner could place baseboards. I went to Madison in P.M., looked at davenports, bought linoleum for upper K. sink and 2 cabinets. Olson's looked at upper apt. 1949 Went to Middleton on 7 AM train - to Middleton by 9. Paid taxes in full. Packed suitcase for Anna May to go to Rock Island where her sister has pneumonia. Cleaned apt. Took nap. -2 degrees 1950. Sunny. We had to walk to church, but didn't mind it. Rode home with Heelbink's. Wrote letters to O and K. and Danish one to Erling Hausen, Lerte, c stamps Sig brought. Oskar and Harvey Gruenwald came about 4. Supper for 6. They had looked for calves. 1951 Hans off to [illegible] Co. on 6:30 bus. Washed, still hung in basement. Ruth here briefly, also Gladys Henderson. Went to church and cut up apples for sauce, etc. till I was tired. Made pudding for Minnie V. 1952 Effects of shot until noon, then O.K. 2 sunny days in a row!
