MARCH 7 1948. While we are at S.S., Mr. Scholten came from Madison for us to show pics at annual I.S.C party. Gathered colored pics, pencils, crayons, etc. to send to China from S.S. kids. Finally filed the China Kodachromes, and selected Rome for Guild talk. 1949. Eva McVay didn't come to school so FHA couldn't send demonstrating team to Love Rock. Marie gave dem. on seam finishes. I walked downtown in PM, and to library in eve - I need the exercise! (Have gained 9#! 53 degrees 1950. Only slept from 11 to 2, then a nap after Hans left for 2 day PMA Convention at Stevens Point. I helped 10:30 to noon in our church basement, again in P.M. for Woman's Club. Sewed 40. (Not enuf coal for village ball). Hard rain 5 P.M. Fogged out, to bed at 9. 1951. Colder. Hans in to office forenoon only. Headache in P.M. I selected pics and we went in to Plymouth Cong. church for supper, Leuten services at which we showed Chinese pics to 100 people. I drove. 1952. Quieter. [Illegible] cards to thank people for food, flowers, and other expressions of sympathy. Marian [name] helping fold papers c obituary. Girls helped me c Branch [illegible] after breakfast we and Mr. Vold to cemetery for pics.
