MARCH 8 1948 Painters only ones at work. Baked bread. I had library board mtg in PM. In eve Mrs. Daniels and I worked on new books in library 1/2 hrs. Then went to village caucus. I talked on library's needs and was asked to present it at town meeting in April. 1949. Ah! Walked to school without galoshes! Kathryn Bohr and Vera Imnadze gave very fine lecture-demonstration on posture and choice of hairdos, etc. Sophs made gr. cracker-cream-cherry pie. To Woman's Club at Duffy's. Walked. 9 degrees. 1950. Awake 3-5 and till 7:30. Downtown with Frank for yeast, made brown bread. Snow in night, mostly blew off. Sewed on my blue striped seersucker dress, cut out last June. Letter from K - an SOS for info. for chapel talk so did that in eve. Very cold. 1951 Potted some plants, added fertilizer to most. Gave ivy and spider plant to Peggy. Baked bread. In PM walked with E. Kromorey to free movie, "Stars in My Crown". Mrs. McKee brought us home. Worked on acct book in eve - Hans making a new one. 1952. Each day brings a stack of cards. Memorials $180 so far. Made out Branch checks in P.M. Marian here in eve and took girls in to "Quo Vadis". We sent out big basket of mail.
