MARCH 13 1948 Not quite so cold. Fred and Betty Roadt moved in upstairs over garage. Signe came out and we had supper in our new kitchen. Hans and I cut and fit linoleum for kitchen and girls helped paste it down. While I at libr. 1949. Drove to church. Did some pressing and stitching. Hans and I called on A. Meyer's in eve. He offered me night class to teach at Middleton. Hans feeling him out for Veteran's class here. 8 degrees 1950 Baked raisin bread, sewed and mended, walked down town twice and to H.S. for Homeworkers' Center lesson on freezing. We finally finished our income tax work most ever - $897. 1951 Ironed, went downtown with Frank. Made strawberry shortcake. Mean normal temp - 29 degrees. Went to Doris Buchler's in P.M. to discuss Guild affairs and church yearbook. Frank drove back to Rockford in eve. 1952 K. waxed most of south room floor and I painted until I ran out of paint. More snow. Grandma helped me wash. Lots more fresh snow, most of which Mr. Vold shoveled. Wrote Danish letter to Aunt Kathrine.
