MARCH 15 1948 Hans and I brought in small birds' eye maple dresser, etc. Sloppy. Washed several windows. After library, K and we brought in tall dresser, etc. Cooked first meal on new elec. stove. Hans finished connecting it. 1949 Elaine demonstrated pressing, then I gave written test. Sophs. made shamrock place cards, baked [Parhenhouse?], [butterham?], cinnamon, and cloverleaf rolls. Put zipper in my dress. 1950 We did a small washing. I hung line full outside. Baked 3 loaves white bread. Awake after 4 - I forgot and ate a potato last eve! Started gray rayon slip - Downtown twice. 1951. Typed copy of our convention program and took it in P.M. To Raernisch's where Mrs. R, Mrs. Freehoft, Blanche B, Mrs. Backhahn, Carrie W, Muriel Blaschke, and I worked on program and details. Mrs. R. sewed chocolate rice cream roll. 1952 K did the cleaning (her day off), Grandma assisting. Ella [last name] and Jen Upham moved in. Spent forenoon finishing federal and state income tax blanks. Figured Branch checks in PM to top off a busy week. Frank came up on early bus.
