March 21. Palm Sunday. 1948. Sudden cold & flu, so stayed home all day. We packed box for Marie Radtke. Put up several more window shades. Jim Walters & wife here. 1949. Slept 8 1/2 hours. BUsy day- girls working on plackets and zippers, etc. Walked downtown at 4- bought pink cotton "butcher's linen" for skirt. Drizzled in P.M. Heard 14 forensic speeches in eve at school. 32° 1950. Fighting off cold with Vit. C. Snow & drizzle all day. Mended, needlepoint, cleaned front closet, & listen to College of Air mostly. 2 hr. nap! To Guild; Mrs. Heebink, took orders for $27 worth greeting cards for guild. 1951. Tired out, but ironed. Nap after breakfast, & 1 1/2 hrs in P.M. Read in Shellabarger's "The King's Cavalier". 1952 Took Mother Skolt in to check her hearing aid and get new batteries. Got her sheer black gloves. Worked at Brunch Co with Les. H. 1 to 4:30. Got circulars ready in less than an hr. Richard Coper & wife on way to Eon Claire brought Frank 7:15 & had supper here.
