APRIL 2 1948. Made hatrack, washed 8 windows and 1 door, baked bread, dusted floors, arranged big drawers in buffet, helped move big dresser upstairs. K and I to S.S. board mtg. in eve at Heebrink's. 1949. Cleaned, then went to Madison with Hans, 9:30. Shopped, then walked to Sig's. Cut out jacket lining in P.M. and sewed. [Elmore?] W. in in eve. 59 degrees 1950 Warmest day this year. Hans and I walked to church, rode home with Phil Smith. Owen, Kae, and 5 wks. old Bobby here 3:30-5. Sig here 2:30-5:55. I made machine buttonholes in her red blouse. Served ice cream. Kromney's, Lang's, and Anna May here in eve. We showed Chinese pics and served Ch. tea. 1951, Thru washing by 10. Ironed some dotted ruffled curtains in P.M. Hans left in AM for Durand - driving. Sent "de-linter" brush and box Audubon cards to Hilda for birthday. 1952. Only slept 4 hours. Took nap after breakfast, then Les [Huseboe?] came and we worked here till 5. Wrote letters in eve instead of going to Lenten services.
