APRIL 4 1948. Hadn't send card to Hilda for her birthday as she was to have left [Joled?] for 2 weeks at Mobile, Ala. K and I heard Dr. Hozzard of Illinois Wesleyon at church. Napped and read in P.M. Hans not well in AM. We called on Sewell's in eve, and didn't get back in time to hear Dr H in eve. 1949. Another fine sunny day. Freshmen begin recreation unit with a "Mental Marathon". Sophs. saw movie "Health and Happiness" with Miss Helen Monsch of Cornell narrator! Seamed up blue jacket. 40 degrees 1950. Skiffs of snow. Cut and made most of dark red and teal lilacs blouse. Also put pod and shields in " suit and wore it in eve to Guest Night Woman's Club. Ruby Tuckwood put on Style Show. Anna May was my guest. Census taken here. 1951. We got ashes and junk out. Tired. Wrote up last eve, Club conv. coning, etc. and 7. Read in Durant's "The Age of Faith" a'36! 1952 Frank home with another old car. I baked bread and date cookies, cleaned some, readied Branch circulars, worked 2 hrs. there in P.M. making 22 hrs. this week. (Should be 5th) Made lime jello
