APRIL 5 1948. Did a 10 days' washing, hanging in basement. Hans not well, but did set new clothes reel post in concrete in south yard. Very busy and interesting PM at library - K and I walked to church. Took car to Larry's to get car fixed, and walked back. 1949. To Mrs. Mitchell (now living upstairs at Rubish's), then she and I to [Lesta?] Miller's - but no Woman's Club! Chat at "Johnny's" with Mrs. Green over "cakes" 1950. Slept till nearly 8! So missed sending Hans money he forgot on AM mail. Took it to Kromney's for him to mail. Had clothes reel up first time this yr. Sunny but cold - clothes froze. I took cinders and can out for pick-up. To library and P.O. 55 degrees 1951. Slept till 7:45 after lying awake 3-5. Warmest day this year. Raked north curb and part of north and west yards, spaded cold frame; planted tomato and aster seeds, callalily and [illegible] begonias bulbs. Mended. 1952 (Should be 4th). Cleaned 2 bedrooms, typed labels for this month's circulars.
