APRIL 6 1948. Ironed. Two forenoon callers, Mrs. Gruber and Ruth Close. K and I went to town mtg. in P.M. in [illegible]. garage. After Mrs. Kruse and I spoke, they voted $250 for library. To church in eve, then Woman's Club at Raemisch's. 1949 At FHA mtg. (our first since Jan.) girls elected Carol Muller and Norma Lewis as delegates to Chula Vista. Helped Bond Mothers comm. fit suits. Went bareheaded and wore jacket to school. 1950 Baked bread - first time since 3/25 as it keeps so nice in freezer. Ironed. Gave hat a plastic coating. Read most of Neville Shute's "Landfall". Sig phoned, she leaves in AM for New Orleans. 1951. Although I slept well enough, I had a miserable day, maybe gallbladder trouble (I ate ice cream yesterday). Worked on needlepoint, napped. K. waxed knotty pine baseboard and hall. Hans home from Durand by 9. Baked bread. 1952 Palm Sunday. I baked blueberry pie, went to S.S. c K. Sig here on 9:30 bus. Owen, Kae, Bobby and Kathy here from 11 to 4, so 7 for dinner. Took girls in about 6. Wrote letters in eve - am still behind.
