APRIL 10 1948 Painted frames of 3 NE windows, tho chilly. K. raked leaves from west curbing. Not so busy at library in eve. 1949. Fine Palm Sunday. I drove to church, picking up May Sholtz. "Carillonic system" dedicated. Washed my hair in P.M. Slept and read on cot while it dried. To Muscoda by 9. 56 degrees in PM 1950 Warm enuf to melt snow soon after noon. Cleaned up house. Put up 2 [lunches?]. Frank out c bees. In eve Hans' boss, Walter Katterhenry, Homer Smith, Leo Ley, Mrs. Brannen and niece Mary McKune of Waukegan. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Walker and Dennis came to see Chinese pics and souvenirs. Sewed Ch. tea, choc chip bars, lemonade. Tired. 1951. Slept little after 2. Hans left for Durand at 5:40 AM. Walked to bank. Ironed. Started at last to get manila folders for file up to date, and did some cleaning. 1952 Sunny. Les Huseboe here from 10 to 2:30, for lunch also, tho sore throat kept him from eating. I slept best yet, 11 to 5 also to 6:30. Felt good. Wrote long letter to Paul Pounall.
