APRIL 12 1948 Slept late. Saw Craig Barton for 1st time. Ep. Hartvigser and Marco Walker came to visit a bit. To Mag. at 11, failed to find mother S's renter home. To Amanda's. Donald has flu. Supper with Olga and Sondra in Mag. We showed pics at City Hall, Roy Chin. Many in from Buckhorn. Pres. of Iowa F.U. also spoke. 1949. Srs. made refrigerator rolls. Sophs. painted spools, etc. Stayed till 5:30, Juanita sewing, too. I did last stitching on jacket. Woman's Club at Lesta Miller's - Mrs. Wilson on "Race". Total eclipse of moon 9:30. 24 degrees 1950 Washed, only hung line full outside. Walked downtown twice. Finished maroon blouse. Coldest 4-12 since 1926. In eve Mrs. Hapsted and I went to Newcomers' Club to hear Mrs. Birkenbine of Sun Prairie tell of her trip to Europe. 1951 Didn't sleep till after 1:30, awake at 6, then slept till 9! Cleaned dish cupboard between phone calls. Worked on 4 Americanism essays, judging. Only toast for supper - getting ready for X-ray. 1952 Hilda's daffodils - 4 dozen! came (left Tacoma as buds). Miyo got me pot of tulips. K. took pics with me and them. Baked cake and bread. Drizzly. sat in front).
