APRIL 22 1948. Mrs. Chris and I walked downtown after I typed my "Librarian's corner", - on Herbert Jacobs' new book, in which I read most of it. 5 for each meal, sewed on 2 card tables. 1949. Nice day. We went home after supper, and 1 1/2 hr. session with Prin. Scott, then had rain on us at Mazomanie. John and Lois gone to Minn. for weekend. 1950. Rather tired. In P.M. I painted 3 bathroom windowpanes, we ordered iron porch and railings, and set out 6 yews - our first landscaping here. Cold wind 1951 K and I drove to church. Preacher lambasted Truman - for not going to see MacArthur's parade! John S took Guild (28) and S.S class pics. In PM we 3 went to Koberle's. K took pic of John and his painting "Survivor". Called on Moffits' 1952. Showery. Cleaned out Hilda's bookcase for Frank to use. Inked in first floor plan of duplex - which I'm not too good at. In PM to Mary Sholt's for tea for Maple Sutton, here on visit. Frank to Rockford for his evening class.
