APRIL 24 1948. Slept from 9 to 6! with Kathryn upstairs. Sig on "emergency bed" in nook, and Hans with Frank. Early lunch again, then Hans took Chris to bus and Sig back. I canned 5 qt. apples. We bought davenport and d. table and 6 chairs at Gaeth's sale. Eloise Malcolm helped an hour at library. 1949. Frank drove all night from Harlan, Iowa. Was one of 20 joining Community church. then went to Rock Co. Beekeeper's mtg. Hans and I to Wittenburg, but no one home. Back to Muscoda at 9. 1950. Hans in Madison office this week. Frank and Dale Kelley to Albany in AM. I waxed kitchen linoleum. Another letter from Dr. PATY in N.Y. Mission Board office. I phoned Sig. then wrote him. K. to arrive NY Wed. 12 PM Another inch rain. (Hans and I took $100 in to Sig. then to Husband's night at Guild - Prof Le Roy [name]. (Apr. 25) 1951. Ironed, baked bread and cookies. Napped - several times! Drizzly day. 1952 Got 30# beef at the Branch at 8, took it to Mason's bldg. where Guild Comm. headed by Deone served snack bar for HS music tournament. Frank and I to Madison, couldn't see right person at Insurance Comm. Took house plans for blue printing. Changed beneficiaries on my ins. policy. Sent Marriage certificate etc to Civil Service Comm.
