APRIL 26 1948 Rainy, baked bread. We cleaned up house. I canned 3 qt. Rome Beauty apples. Hans out all this week on rural interviews for BAE, home overnight. Busy library day. Made out book order. 1949 My nursery school for Sophs. to [suf?] began in P.M. with 4: Jimmy Walsh, Charleen Gray, Joey Mitchell and Russell Rubisch. They played and girls told and read stories. Hans and I bought Philco Deep Freeze. April 27 33 degrees 1950 Awake awhile then slept till 6:30. So I still had my hair in braids when Sig and Marian Dunn brought Kathryn home about 8. She is thin. Flew from Delhi via Karachi, Basra, Damascus, Brussels, Shannon, Boston to La Guardia Field from 5:30 AM. Tues. She slept P.M. Hans home at noon. I ironed, baked bread, apple pie. Got 7 1951.
