MAY 3 1948. Baked applesauce cake and bread, and went over apt. cleaning. We made a hot dish for potluck supper here and parents of K's SS class: Williby's, Rabe's, Stauke's, Edith Cornwell, Alice Olson, Lois Malcolm, Mrs. Gibson. Hans home from Dodge Co. HOT 1949 H.S. faculty mtg. at 4 to choose Jr. girl for Girls' State: Joanna [Annear?]. Elaine W, alternate. In eve took Mrs. La Vinn to Sextonville for Mother-dau. banquet, given by WSCS. Showed Kodachromes. 70 degrees 1950. Warm. Let furnace fire go out for first time. Cut and made green striped apron for Marie Radtke. Walked downtown without wrap. Rev. Wierwill called - to see K (who is still in hosp). Hans home from Richland Center at 4 with headache. 1951. Slept nearly 9 hrs. Walked downtown without wrap. Hans home after 10 PM from Alvis. Got supper for him. 1952. Saturday - slept till nearly 6. Got Branch circulars and sent out. Vacuumed and dusted, worked 3 hrs. at Branch Co. in PM. Cy Mock and Frank finished piling lumber into garage in P.M. Still hot and dry, had to water strawberries.
