MAY 4 1948 Rainy AM. At Woman's Club at Schwenn's. $100 came from John and Lavora Wittenburg for library! Had rides downtown and back afterward. Pressed trousers, etc. 1949 Unseasonably HOT. Hottest on record. Sr. Jrs. made quick-method cake. Last nursery school, just Joey and Russell. Slept more than hr. before supper. 68 degrees 1950. Rain in nite. Washed storm doors, packed and sent box to Marie Radtke. Walked to P.O. twice. Fastened [gray?] needlepoint. We read chapter in "Tiny's" book in eve. 1951 Baked brown bread. Had car so took loaf to Mrs. Morgan, home in a wheeled chair. Got di. milk from factory, sold cards to Mrs. Utter. 1952. Distributed Upper Rooms in S.S - and arranged for those going to Mazomanie. Didn't stay for church. Signe here 9:30 till about 50 when Marian came for her. Sig and I took db. tulips to cemetery, and painted 2 porch boxes Mr. Vold had made.
