MAY 8 1948. Ironing, cleaning; baked raisin bread. Signe here from 2 to 9:50 bus. Eloise helped with 10 new books at library, also putting away old books. All 6 of us here for supper. Frank home from Baraboo. 1949. Drove to church alone. Mother's Day. K. sent me nice travel mirror. Sig out in P.M. Hans and I washed Roadt's windows. Hunted for Hilda's stuff in attic trunk. Felt pink. To Muscoda by 9. 1950. Sent Mrs. Burton in London pr. nylons by Olive, who leaves next week. K. began job hunting, and did her ironing in P.M. I did the washing and got it dry before it rained. Ironed and mended. 1951. Baked white bread, ironed. Hemmed 4 dishtowels. Trimmed out dead wood from snowberries. K and I walked to M.H. garden put in sw. corn, squash, beans. To Phil Smith's at 8 on nom. Comm. for church board. 1952. 6 1/2 hrs. sleep. Baked 4 loaves bread. Got April Journal sheets up and took in to Les Huseboe, took osteo treatment, sent Mother Skott a nice hanky for Mother's Day. To Garden Club at Village hall in eve, Mrs. Sacrism gave flower arrangements.
