MAY 14 1948 Sunny! Did big washing, baked bread. Hans and Mr. Vold worked their second day sodding front lawn, and again Mr. V here for lunch. I got plants at Wittenburg's and set them out all P.M. Hans and I brought in roller to roll yard. Rainy in eve. 1949. Slept at Hans' mother who got us up too early for good breakfast. Bought shoes. "Bachelor's lunch" with Orville, then at Melba's, [Hartvigsen's?], Velma's. Slept in Olga's new "Apt". 70 degrees 1950 Signe came out at 9:30. All but Hilda here for Mother's Day! Sig gave me glove holder. We went in Frank's car for ride in PM - to geo. Briggs'., past Jacobs' and Schaefer's and O'Bridges. Had venison steak for dinner. Ruth and Jerry Close, Wittenburg, here an hr. Kay, Owen, and Bobby in eve. 1957 Beautiful washday, tho got windy. Painted north door and window. Set out some plants. Made double batch of 24 hour salad in Laurine Walters' place for Guild. 1952. Slept less than 5 hrs. Frank began driving in to work in his Model A as he works 10 hrs - I put out flares. Tank said he found sewer outlet. I did big washing. Some got rained on. Hr. nap after lunch. In eve K and I to Mozart Club concert in graded school.
