MAY 16 Should be 17. 1948. Sunny. Baked big batch bread, bread pudding. Anna May sick. I was her "book lady". We cashed our first bonds and with 776 from UNRRA provident fund, paid McChesney on acct. also plumber Tank. Studied "Book News". 1949 Had a bad time in morning with painful back. Slept little after 3. Managed to limber up a bit and had my classes. To big program in eve at H.S - presentation of "M" awards. 1950. Awake from 3:30 - so slept 2 hrs. in PM. Finished ironing. K and I in on 10 AM bus and all 3 of us out at 12:30, when Hans went to LaCrosse. We got stuff to print pics. Rode with Ms. Lange to Guild - Church packed. Guests from 8 other churches. Eleanor Mathews talked on Int. Decorating. Was on welcome comm. [illegible] 85 degrees 1951. Took left-over "24 hr. salad" to Westphol's. and Mrs. McKee's tablecloths to Deone for Carol Dreyfuse wedding. Took 27 heavy Civic Club chairs from church to village hall. Slept. Moved a few plants. 1952. Cleaned Apt - to Bell's and Branch Co. briefly. Early lunch. Took K to work by 11:30, shopped for K and Frank, tried to see Dr. Weston again, also engineer Hildebrandt at M[9?] and E Co. Slept under diathermy at Dr. [name]. Home by 4:30.
