MAY 17 1948. (Should be 15) Ironed, dusted floors, mended some for Frank, who came home from Baraboo at noon. Busy at library. 1949. Got up more easily but dull ache in back. Reviews in classes. Srs. had picnic "breakfast" so weren't there. Hans and I put lard into 27 sterilized tin cans in eve to ship abroad. 1950. Painted dressing stool second coat cream, also door to new milkhouse and bathroom wastebasket and 2 dishtowels. 1951. 4" rain in night - hooray! I was in bed all day with flu and/or cold. Doris Bushler called on Church yearbook problems. Red in "Age of Faith" past p. 800 - but book has to go back to [illegible]. Library. 1952. Took 3 violets to village hall to local Flower Show (African Violet and Gloxinia). Took entries in Flower Arr. section till nearly 11. Sig took car to [illegible] in P.M. Ole Venden excated at 2121 Univ. Frank dug edges. I worked 3 hrs. at Branch. To see "King John" in eve with Sig at Mem. Union. Wore wool suit.
