MAY 20 1948. Painted 15 screens, some first and some second coat. Hans and I planted several rows, veg in garden at Wittenburg's, K helped set out rows Earlibell tomatoes in eve. 1949 Gave Jrs final test in Eng. room - 1 A Joanne Annear. Soph. in Assembly. To apt. and packed in PM. Teacher's mtg. 3:30. Home by 6. Kathryn came from Hartford, Conn. after 11. 1950. Baked raisin bread. Camilla phoned they will come tomorrow. Kathryn mowed lawn with new mower. 1951. We slept at grandma's again. Put on her screens, found her lost skillet, etc. Called on Beth Harrington in bed with broken leg, George Francois, Mrs. Pendray. An hr. or so at Oskar's. Dinner at Olga's. Took Hilda to Hiawatha at 4 at Delmar. Took grandma home. Got Mary FW at Dubuque, supper by hiway on 1, home via Nakoma before 10. 1920. Tank put in sewer and water connections at 2121. McChesney's 5 men started to make zones there. I ironed in less than an hr. and finished the 8 basement frames. Presided at Guild Guest Night. I wore old aqua suit - now I'm down to 125th! We took Greta and Edith K. home.
