1948. Painted a lot of screens 2" coat. Ironed. Frank went to Wautoma for week. Day old pheasant Frank brought from Monroe is family pet. 1949. Worked in Home Ec room all AM filled library shelves, sorted + arranged bulletins + other teaching material. Called on Freida Mueller in PM. 1/2 mi. to road - lovely ferns + flowers. 1950 1 1/2" rain. Did big ironing. Shampooed hair - to get out dirt blown into it yesterday. Tired. Finished reading "The Herdsman" - Dorothy Clarke Wilson + "Father + the Mountains" - a New England story. 1950 [pretty sure this is supposed to say 1951]. Set out more plants. K. took pies at Ph. Branch school, in its last term. Gugel's drove to their cabin near Minorque - Rain nearly all night - tho I slept anyway. 1952. Sunny after damp cool week. made jello salad, also sherbet + cake for supper. K + I to S.S. + church - she among 10 new members. henry + Minnie + their brother, Edgar + wife "Aunt Minnie" Vold, + Anna May here for supper dessert + a visit. Miss MInnie goes to Mpls. with others in AM.
