1948 Painted nook windowframe on outside and a lot of screens, beginning on final part of it. Baked bread, shopped for long weekend ahead with nearly everything closed. Signe came out with Hilda, who sewed on her machine. 1949 Cleaned apt. tho it tired me. Country calls really have taken some kinks out of my back. Made facings + sewed snaps on light seersucker dress of Kathryn's. She + I made "job lists" for the next mo. Wrote cousin Anna, Wayne, + Olive. 1950. Tried to find Melba's, no luck, but Olga + I went thru her house. to Oskar's for family picnic, 19 then Francis' came in PM (in brown Hudson). Men + kids ate on new flagstone terrace. Frank started home about 6. we stayed at Olga's again. 3 anniversaries this week. 1951. Awake from 5 - nap in PM. Sewed on blue dress, put pane in cold frame sash. K + I put stair carpet back down. set out more annuals. Temp. exactly normal. 1952. Slept 10:30 to 3:30 then a nap afterward. K + I to Madison at 9. Just to M.G. + E Co. Worked at Branch 1:30 to 6! Huseboe found some omissions + mistakes in my check stubs.
