JUNE 6 Had part of 11# northern pike, from Mr. Vold. 1948. K to Home Ec. faculty breakfast at Home Management House. Rev. Stanke's last Sunday. Ruth Close takes over Hilda's S.S. class. Read in P.M. To Muehlmeier's in eve for book names. Hot - wore nylon dress - 1949. No luck in finding girls in AM but found 4 in 2 places in PM! Sewed green brocade blouse for K, also mended and made roce lace blouse of her old dress. To library in eve. 90 degrees or more 1950. Waffles for 4 on new waffle iron. Went at 9 to Reedsburg with Woman's Club - 25 of us. Thru woolen mill dinner at hotel thru Hankscraft factory to Lake Delton resort for cold drinks. Mrs. Raffaele driving, took Mrs. Kruse home. K. showed India pics. 1951. Hans off at 6:30 for Monroe, and a few minutes later I left with Mrs. Raenisch Blaschke and Grayce Voss for Lake Laur. near [Delaware?] for Woman's Club Conv. Dinner then supper at Janesville. Home 8:20 94 degrees 1952 Went over whole Mdltn. Hts. garden with cultivating tool. Planted glads. Rested. Worked on Branch statements - there an hr - but too hot with steam pipes on! Took treatment of Dr. [name]. John and Lois and Rebecca Shafer here an hr. from Ind.
