June 7

JUNE 7
1948. Wrote 7 got pheasant, 2 wks old now, in sun a while in Theilke's backyard. Then it died. Gave screen door a coat of paint. Was quite busy at library, also lib. board mtg.
1949. While Hans went to Clifford [illegible], I went to Sue Mathews' and had good visit with her and mother. In PM Carol M. painted in "Work Shop", Norma and Elaine [served?]. Hans and I went to Nahley's for supper - too much to eat.
1950. Up at 5 as usual. Took Donnie to 9:35 bus home, K to Madison to look for work. I put hem in voile dress, zipper in bemberg dress, finished seams in blue slip. Walked downtown.
1951. Slept 9 hrs! Hoed home garden, transplanted more plants. Baked 4 loaves bread, ironed. Doris Buehler brought book - church annual in which I made a few corrections. Hans home for supper [8:15?]. Inch of rain over night.
93 degrees 1952 Slept 12 to 6, tho had to take tablet - first for several weeks. K and I cleaned Apt. She cleaned and waxed k. floor, I vacuumed. Les Huseboe here 9 to 3, then I worked at Branch till 5:30!
