1948. Baked bread + cookies, shampooed my hair in new Fuller Co. shampoo. Cleaned our room. Sent 2 book-orders, pkg. to Hilda. Miss Petersen + her aunt + uncle here, we showed Kodas Hilda took in D.C. + parade Centennial. 194. K to West Wis. Conf. at Sparta. Dale Kelley cam early from Ames but couldn't get work in Madison. I cleaned apt. washed reel full of clothes, got picnic ready for boys. Hazel Grimes and Alta Moore of Des M. here for supper and Hadley's in eve. They stayed at new Motel Missed church nite. 1950 Breakfast in Dora's backyard ^guests Mary, Martha, hamburger, biscuit, asparagus, peaches. We went to church at Student Baptist church, then thru kitchen, S S rooms, Ronald Wells' apt. Victor + Florence came for me at 3:30. Karen + Bobby with them. Supper in yard. Gertrude + Roy Bonner there. Saw Arthur, new dairy barn, cooler, etc. 1951. Breakfast 6:15. Hans + I to W.C. Spent hr. with Margaret F. Dinner at Leslie's. I went with Mary to Pauline Waters' but she was at Iowa Cy. + came later with 9 mo. baby George Allen. Bessie + Rol. Wright at Leslie's for supper. Bertha gave me browallia + apron patterns. 1952. Rain in AM, again at 4 P.M. I painted 2 door frames + several screens. Edith K. called, also Mrs. Kermit Cooke. Frank in bed all day, probably stomach flu.
