June 12 1948. Cleaned up Apt. Sign was out from 2:30 to 6. I had very busy library day, 66 books in P.M. Got some signatures on Wallace petition. Emma & Fred Hodley out in eve, came to lib, also Mr. Gibson annual church mtg in eve til 12. Voted resident paster. 1949. Quite hot. Wore pinafore all day. Ironed & hung curtains in 2 rooms over garage. Dale & Frank have for a while. Sig out in P.M. Typed a letter to Hilda & news for Mrs. Daniels. 1950. Left Ames 7:35 in Frank's '36 Olds whose windshield didn't work, steering gear loose; changed seat foreward while at Waechter's 2 hrs. Lunch. Rita home from summer school at Dabrugel. Set out some plants Dora gave me, K, helping. 1951. Breakfast at Gus's again. Left 7:45 via Hills & Hiway 92. Called on Bertha Whitson Barrel & 3 boys at Judiands Lois J., Hazel Grimes, at Deon. Supper with Hazel & To Meuls by 8:30. Overnight at Aunt Addie's. To bed early for once. We needed it! 1952. More rain. Slept til after 6. Frank home. I set up my paint shop in basement & did one side of 13 1/2 screw. Finished 1st gal. of primer paint. E. Lubeke here to insure new house. To garden club at Williamson in eve.
