June 16
1948. Slept 7 hours straight. 
Rex, Dora, K, + I went to Capitol, went thru on tour. then we shopped. Dora got lilac jersey + I blue also blue + white flowered. Lunch here. Jane Miller had story hour at lib. 50 books out. We went to Sunset Point for picnic with Owen.
1949. Called on Shirley Willis + Alyce Adams (next door). Found Better Salmon girl her job, so drove out to see her. Made date with Natalie for next week. Saw Mrs. Preston picking berries so ordered case for Signe. 
1950. Baked bread, mixing it before Bible school. Had my class outdoors, first up on hillside. Ice cream for 10:15 lunch. Walked down town, took nap, cleaned floors, pulled weeds. Started reading "This, My Brother".
1951. Breakfast at Dora's. Wrote some cards. Had an hrs visit with Edith Bliss Swank. Hans and I to his class luncheon in Oak Room. to party for Portha at Edna C. Mitchell. Edna and Anna showed pics, of Hawaaii. Amy Goss, Flo and others there. To Whitson's ( in basement of their place) instead of alumni [illegible]
1952 Walked to my "third garden" and cultivated by 6. Washed, picked 3 qt. strawberries, froze 2 pkg. Painted 8 basement screens on 1 side. Terry S. mowed lawn and helped me move calla lily. Ethel S. and Mrs. Hafstad called.
