June 17 1948 Dora and Rex left at 7:20. Cloudy. D washed. K put up extra line to tree. Showery, so took all in at 5 & hung in empty garage (none of cars home!) I baked raisin bread & ironed a lot. Read "The Long Winter" 1949 Wakeful 4-6 then slept till nearly 8. I got my FHA financial report for year, also my expense acct. Had date to see Karol S at 1 and she wasn't home! Was in Home Ec. rest of P.M. Cut & started white dimity blouse. Called on Mrs. LaVinn. Got berries after supper & I put a qt & 4 pts to freeze from 4 boxes berries. 1950 K. waxed Frank's floor and the linoleum. Baked cake. Hoed. Turned very cool in P.M. 84 degrees in Wis. 1951 Breakfast for 15 in Dora's backyard - (illegible) Refflers, Bob and Kathryn, Wallace and wife, Martha, Irene, Mrs. Nona Smith. Hans and I to Riley's for dinner and picnic supper. Anna, Edna, (illegible) there for supper. Hans and I called on Bill Overbolt and wife and Russell Bentley's. 1952 Ironed between 4 and 5 A.M. then slept till 9:15. Painted screens on other side and began on basement windows - 12 in all. Worked at Branch Co. 1 hr. and guild in eve play - took K and E.K. Installed new officers - Vicki Solem (?) appointed me flower chm. They gave me vote of thanks! (illegible) for 2 yrs as pres
