June 23
1948 Drove out at 7 for milk. Ironed shirts, etc. Cashed last of my Travelers' cheques for Dodge. Quite library record - 100 books lent Mon. and today. BUSY! Prepared some new books. Typed "Corner"  Mother, S and I started (illegible).

1949  Worked most of forenoon finished "wrinkleproof" dress. Put hem in it in eve at Muscado after. Natalie Imnadze went out baby sitting just as I came to see her. I walked back to apt. Rain all eve. Hans out till midnight at Kovard (?).

1950 Continued taking Vit. C. but really felt bad. In bed most of day, missing Bible school picnic, but sent cake and lemonade. Heavy rain in eve again. Hans home from Friendship, Adams Co.

1951 Woke at 5:30, put lard in oven, mixed bread, canned 11 pt strawberries, went to Madison to take Hans to Dr. at Hosp. Shopped on State St. Went on garden club tour. Marcus Schwab, Daniels', Sakrison's. Baked pin wheel cookies. K and I hoed big garden.

1952 No work on house today! Rain all a.m. I worked 3 hrs. here in AM on books, 2 in office in PM and 1 in eve after Frank an I were at St. Mary's 7:30 to 8.  I called on Gladys Henderson there.
