July 23
1948  Cool after rain. I waxed hall and stairs and kitchen floors. Cut out and made most of white (emb?) blouse. Cut out blue jersey dress. Frank working Dave Co. Mrs. Kalvestian and Esther here in eve. Hans to Muscado.

1949  A lazy Sat. Sat in sun and did needlepoint while aunt K. crocheted. Took Kodachromes of their other house - thatched - and cows grazing. Neighbors stopped to chat as they passed.

1950  Awake from 4:30 on I walked to church, taught Janet Lloyd's S.S. classes she has flu. Hans and I left for Muscoda at 1. I drove both ways,1 hr. each. At Robt Scott's. Knocked down Hans' very old desk and brot it home, also 2 old chairs. Called on Fred Lenty in their new home.

1951  Felt weak again, but washed alone and ironed. Hans to Richland Center for day.  It is flooded, no elec.

1952 More rain in night! But I did not hear it - slept nearly 7 hrs. Painted from 7:30 to nearly 11 on screens and windows for storm doors. Nap, shampoo and weed pulling along with Terry in P.M. To Kromrey's a short while in eve. She ordered Christmas cards.
