August 4 1948 Made 3 calls - found Beverly Elder in bed. Helped Norma Goodweiler with crocheting and with sewing machine. Found Beverly Goodweiler in bed! Passed out questionairres to Hans' boys in eve. 1949 No sleep till after 2 AM. Ironed what was dry on Aunt K's mother's hand woven sheet. Christina finished what wasn't dry in AM, while we went to famous Folk School at Askon by bus. No school, but talked with (illegible) Lytthams Prof (Hasseris?). High wind. Got only 3 pics. Very little sunshine. 1950 More securing canvassers - getting some refusals. I canvassed Bristol north of Hiway. Took nap to make up for a wakeful spell. Hans came home from Vilao and other NE Counties about 7:30. 1951 Baked bread. K and I picked Vold's beans and we froze 11 qt. To garden club at Sakrison's then drove with Mrs. Marcus Schwab to Mrs. P.A. Duehr's to see her many lovely roses. 1952 93 degrees - a record at Tacoma. Slept 8 hrs. Hilda to work at 7:30. I watered from 6:30 to 8. Started Hilda's needlepoint, p icked some blackberries (skinned my knee), sat in sun, walked to store and P.O. twice. Hilda and I walked up hill in eve and she took a dip in the Sound.
