August 6 1948 Still very cool. Wrote some letters for Hans. Packed up at noon and went with him on his calls to Norbert Fleming and Emly. Our home from there. Home 6:30. Frank is well and K busy. Our telephone was in - nice dial instrument. 1949 We walked out to Landsbrugstotte. Sun was really warm - and me in a wool dress. Prof. Hansen showed us about and gave us fine fruit drink. Bil to Groosten Rutebil to Moeby. Walk to Leste. (Illegible). 1950 We went to church and S.S. I took bouquet. Hans and I to Harry Joyce's in Crestwood. Owen, Kay and Bobby here. Gave him both toy set. In eve we had donation party at church for Jacobsons - Ruth P and sewing group served coffee and cookies. Many nice things and $200 cash. I got 3 more canvassers. 1951 Cloudy and muddy. Started reading my second Reading Circle book "Two Kinds of Time". K and I to garden. She to set out broccoli. I picked 27 ears corn, froze 5 pkg. Comm. Council in eve. 1952 Awake from 4:30 with indigestion. Chilly. I had fire in fireplace. Sun only shone a few minutes. Did more needlepoint.
