SEPTEMBER 8 1948. Very busy day. FHA. mtg at 2:30. In eve had my first adult class - 18 out, 6 veterans' wives or sister, 3 from country, and 9 from village. We and Mitchells and Doris had drinks afterward. 1949. Packed up at Kai Ollon's, bus would not take our suitcase, so got taxi. We walked to Kongens Nytorv and viewed Atom Alderens exhibit inc. U.S. movie "Operation Crossroads". Bought felt hat at Magasin du Nord. Visited Suhr Husm [after?] S pole. Tea there. 6 PM train to Korsor. Ferry to Nyborg. 1950. Walked downtown. Cleaned. Crocheted. Hilda and I sat in sun. Hans and Kathryn home from Montello and Pardeville at 6:45, in time for supper. 1 degree above normal! 1951 Arranged 3 different colors of flowers, yellow ones; pink and white; and purple and blue related colors for Flower Show. Baked brown bread and cookies, canned 4 1/2 qt. tomatoes. In charge of show 5-6:30. Very good show. Over at 9. 2nd on purple and blue. Fine day. 1952 Saw "Mac" about basement floor - not in yet after 6 weeks in readiness! To Madison where I found 40 mile "bail" is $10. WOW! To Mrs. Kalnestran's funeral at church 10 AM. Rev. Dennis Long of Montfort preaching. Had coal put in. Had to nap as I was awake 2:15 to 4:30. Finished painting Sig's front room. Too Comm. Council in eve. 13 there.
