SEPTEMBER 15 Very warm 1948. Had first Home Ec. movie "Yesterday Today and Tomorrow" - Story of Food Preservation, for Home Ec. 10 and for adult class of 19 in eve, along with Hans' Veterans. My class began a nightie, p.j's, aprons, a skirt, child's snow suit, etc. 1949. Real blankets and sheets and shower bath! Taxi to SAL with heavy luggage. Street car to RR station - dahlias in front. Left at 1:26 for Oslo. Arr. 7:30. Swedish money - then Norwegian, customs nuisances, etc. A bit rainy. Stayed at "Ur. 60" Parkevej Pensionat. 1950. Sewed on white Chinese blouse, finished machine work. To antique show at church. Hans came from West Bend, stopped to see the Robt Scott's at Randalio, got Kathryn at Pardeeville, home 7:30. K and I went to antique show in eve. Ellen H there 1951. Froze some spinach and chard and canned chard stalks. K. made cookies. Showed Mrs. Showers and [illegible] my FF line. 1952. Very nice day. Frank and I painted Sig's bedroom light green. He cleaned furnace and put in new filters. I shampooed my hair, sawed new bottom for garbage can. Ralph Davis called on basement business
