September 20

SEPTEMBER 20
1948. Rain all day - really needed. Turned cooler in late P.M. Home Ec. 10 canned tomatoes. Hans and I guests of Muscoda Improvement Assn at dinner - he talked about Vets Tn. School Faculty party at 500 party at [Neprud's?].
19 Awake 12-3 but still slept 8 hr. Got a few pics. Breakfast with fresh raspberries. Train to OSLO by 6. Money is 7 [illegible] = $1 this week, which helps. Supper in Scandinavian Restaurant - veg; reindeer and tyttebor. Back to Parkvejen Pensinat
1950. At Lange's 8:20-2 and again 4-5. She paid me $10. Home to get Hans' lunch; also to can 6 1/2 qt. peaches. In eve canned 2 qt. tomatoes, finished ironing. Hans at Lange's 2-4.
1951 Took Helen in to Jackson Clinic via Belt Live and Nakoma Road. Swiss steak and strawberry shortcake for supper. Got Helen at 2:30 and we went thru new Unitarian church.
1952 Cleaned apt., washed living room windows outside. Elecn. got power in house. Worked at Branch 2 hrs. in P.M. Felt relaxed, very good. Sig and Marian out after 5, like cabinets, paint, etc. We ate a melon. They brought me squashes, 2 kinds and big bouquet scabiosa and zinnias.
