SEPTEMBER 22 1948 Sr. girls learning basic curl stitches. Sophs. cleaned refrig. and judged jelly. Hans had bad headache in eve. I had 18 at evening class - demonstrated bound buttonholes! Very cool. 1949. Bath at Tiny's, breakfast then they went down to OSLO stasjon with us. Flowers white lilies, phantasy dahlias. Managed to spend last Norw. penge - can not change it to svensk! Chat with girl from Ceylon. Did not feel too good. Roy at Hotel. Got ship tickets. 1949. Quiet day at Dora's. In P.M. Rex took us to college greenhouse for Dora to get a peperonia plant, her prize. Saw lovely roses on campus. Downtown on new 6th st. road to Ames. Saw Mrs. J.B. Davidson - call on Mrs. Harry Brown. In eve we and Dora to Riley's. Jo, Hazel, Bess and Ernest came at 4. 1951. Baked rhubarb-raisin pie, got meat from Branch, groceries downtown, K and I to Haberland's sale (got O). From wearing voile dress and no wrap yesterday to gabardine dress and coat today. 1952 Slept 10 - 3 and 5 to 6 - not too bad. Started men off making furnace bases of concrete, and Marian's plant stand. Cleared, so I washed. Made several pts. tomato juice. To Madison in PM - straightened bills at M.G. and E. Co. saw Ken Orchard, called Les Huseboe, brought 24 glass knobs. Sig and Marian out
