A breather in PM, after making slips for premium winners, then a grand rush 4 to 5. Centennial parade 1:30. Only 9 in my evening class, but kept busy. TIRED. 1949 Set time back 40". Slept till almost 8. Saw a freighter or a fishing boat. Rougher in eve so that I slept only fitfully till I took a dramamine at 2 AM. 1950. Canned 2 1/2 qt. tomatoes, made oatmeal cookies, tapioca pudding for Mr. Lange, cleaned apt., cut out blue ombre chambray dress. Hans home for supper. We called on Mr. L. Wrote 3 letters. 1951 Canned 10 qt. pears - Calif. Bartletts' - and 2 qt. tomatoes. Hans put some flooring in NW corner of attic. At 3 we started to take Mother Skott home. K and I drove all the way. There at 6:30. House cold, then too hot all night. 1952. Another day warmest for this date. No wrap. To 2121 Univ. 3 times in AM. Painter [illegible] started; Bookshelves finished. Washed inc. all my bedroom rugs. Worked 2:15 to 4 at Branch. Adding machine made big mistake! Couldn't sleep till midnight. Read Ruth Sawyer's "Maggie Rose". Grader finished.
