OCTOBER 16 1948. Help for once. Mrs Reuben Marti washed windows and waxed floor. Then I polished it + he did windows on outside, took screens off + put storm windows in. I got carrots + kohlrabi at garden. Waxed stairs + halls - mopped kitchen. 1949. Mr. Arthur Ames of Oregon came for me and I talked at Methodist church there. The Abrams family brought me home In PM we + the Wehrs drove to Muscoda. Fine day -took pic of Taliesin. 82[degrees] 1950. Hans drove to Eau Claire + points N. I felt bum - took nap. Wonderful day. I went to Home Ec. Club At Dean Ira Baldwin's 211 Lathrop - Mrs. Giocainis showed Greek embroideries. Nellie Kedzie Jones, 92, spoke briefly 1951. Cloudy, cooler, small showers. We + Aug. + Anna in their new Plymouth to Madison + home around lake- Many ducks in lake by "Willows" - sap. To Phil Smith's, Phelps, Clifts. Guild bus. mtg. 7:45-8:30. Dr. Abbey showed European pics 1952 Awake 1-3, slept til 7 for once. tank came back a while to work - had flu. Men painting cold air ducts, etc. Degn's moved into east apt. - had to used girls' bathroom! Eaves troughs on. I went to L of WV at R. Schultz' in eve. Mrs. H. Hamilton spoke.
