OCTOBER 19 1948 Mild + clear. Mrs. Scott home in bed with a cold. Some Sr. girls cutting out rayon slips, others making rayon dresses, blouses. Read in Derleth's "Bright Journey" in eve (Prairie du Chien story). 1949. Cleaned out sink drawers, walked down to mailbox before 7 also shopped later. Talked to Grade School Mothers' Club on "Schools I saw in Europe". Showery 1 of 3 Kodachromes turned out ok. Had "premiere" in eve. Hans to Civics Club c T. Daniels. 82[degrees] 1950. Ironed, washed + ironed bedroom curtains + washed bedroom + living room windows. Walked downtown. Took Edith Kromrey a Red Wing pottery cat for her birthday. Made apple jelly. 1951. Sunny. Frost. but nothing hurt. Did apt. cleaning. put on 1 more storm window. To Kenton Brown's, L.[?]. Mott's. Order for 2 dresses from Mrs. Jane Callahan. Took 3 dresses to Zentner's in eve for Homemakers Rummage 1952 No sleep after 4:30. Finished reading "Brain Surgeon" by Wm. Sharpe. Went to S.S. Mr. Kromrey in charge. Finishing Book 2 of "Know your Bible" IO drove to Barabou in PM. visited c Margaret Ehlers. 3 of us - Dr. M, Wm Rabe, and I put in SS birthday money
