OCTOBER 21 Signe phoned in eve that Dr. Weston is sick. 1948. Took nap in rest room 1:30 to 2 (my freest period in day). Got brown silk blouse from Hilda. In eve Hans + I showed pics and souvenirs and talked about China at Muscoda Meth. Church. 100+ 1949 Cleaned up house, baked nut honey bread + oatmeal cookies + lay down to rest when Herman + Dora came at 3:30 in Herman's new Chrysler. Sig + Kay + Owen also out for supper - Fresh strawberries from C. [Shafer?] 1950. Mrs. Jas. Becker brought me UN flag and I appliqued several leaves on it. Carrie W. came in P.M and did several, + Mrs. A Stucki did last one by 6 P.M. 6 clubs represented. In AM I house-cleaned the hall, went downtown. Got birthday organdy hdkf from Flo! 1951. Rainy. Drove to Church. 5 of us put in our S.S. birthday money, John + A. Drake, Wm. Rabe, Dr. M +I! I led discussion on Paul - 12 in class - Signe here in P.M. We took her back in eve + saw K at Sweets'. 1952. Finished ironing, baked first bread for weeks, put on a west storm window on my bedroom, gave first coat paint to Degn's downstairs bathroom + Sig's kitchen baseboards. Walked to Guild in eve. Put in birthday money. Vickerstaff (15c'40) talked on Vet. hosp.
